The Auto Inn Check-in Procedure
For first-time storage customers, a contract is prepared and the vehicle is thoroughly inspected by an Auto Inn representative, in your presence. During the inspection we will identify any scratches, dents, damage or wear and tear on the vehicle. You will then be asked to acknowledge the noted condition of your vehicle and you will be provided with a copy of the contract and the vehicle inspection report.

Payment in full is required at the time of check-in, either by check or cash.

For your protection, The Auto Inn requires and maintains copies of your vehicle’s proof of insurance and registration as well as your drivers license as part of your storage records. Any other individuals authorized to have access to the auto, a copy of their driver’s license is also required.

At the time of Check-in you may request to be taken to the Palm Springs International Airport, your home or office. The Auto Inn company vehicle is provided with this service at no additional cost.

The Auto Inn Storage Facility
The location of your vehicle within The Auto Inn storage facility is determined in part by its size and weight, length of storage and available space.

Our facilities contain electrically operated lifts which allow us to store up to three levels high. These lifts have safety locks to prevent accidental lowering and full solid steel floors on the upper levels to prevent any dripping of fluids on vehicles stored beneath. Typically, vehicles stored for long periods are allocated to the top rows and the vehicles that are more transient are positioned on lower levels for quicker access.

Your vehicle’s information is logged into our computer database and its location is immediately available. When your vehicle is removed from storage and delivered to you (or at your request delivered to a dealer for service center or your favorite mechanic), the movement of your vehicle is also logged, maintaining an accurate record of its location at all times.

In addition to automobiles, our facility can accommodate pickups, SUVs, limos, motorcycles, removable hardtops and golf carts. If you have a special storage requirement, please contact us.

How We Pamper Your Vehicle
Your vehicle will then be placed in our climate-controlled facility, its fluid levels checked and attached to a battery surcharger to maintain its charge. We will cover your vehicle with either your personal car cover or one of our soft plastic covers. Custom car covers are available for purchase.
